Zendaya Maree Stoermer Coleman professionally known by the mononym Zendaya is an American actress and singer. Her feature film debut with the superhero film Spider-Man: Homecoming(2017), and reprised her role in Spider-Man: Far from Home(2019), and Spider-Man: No Way Home(2021).

Zendaya Maree Stoermer Coleman was born on 1st September 1996 in Oakland, California, to teachers Claire Stoermer and Kazembe Ajamu Coleman. Her father is African-American where as her mother has German and Scottish ancestry. Zendaya has five elder siblings- Austin Stoermer Coleman, Julien Stoermer Coleman, Katianna Stoermer Coleman, Kaylee Stoermer Coleman, and Annabella Stoermer Coleman.

Zendaya began her career as a fashion model for Macy’s, Mervyns, and Old Navy. She also appeared as a backup dancer in a Sears commercial.
In November 2009, she auditioned for the role of CeCe Jones in the Disney sitcom Shake It Up. Later, she was selected to play Rocky Blue. Shake It Up premiered on 7th November 2010.
In 2011, Zendaya released Swag It Out, a promotional independent single. In June of the same year, she released Watch Me. She did her first film role was in Frenemies (2012), a Disney Channel Original Movie. On 2nd September 2012, she signed with Hollywood Records.
On 17th September 2013, she released a self-titled debut album. In August 2013, she was cast as 16-year-old Zoey Stevens, the lead character in the Disney Channel Original Movie Zapped.
In 2017, she made her feature film debut as Michelle in the superhero film Spider-Man: Homecoming. In September 2018, Warner Bros. released the animated film Smallfoot. In 2019, she reprised her role as MJ in Spider-Man: Far from Home.
In 2021, she reprised her role as MJ for the third time in Spider-Man: No Way Home.
