Shafali Verma is an Indian International cricketer who plays for India’s national women’s cricket team. She plays for Delhi Capitals in the Women’s Premier League (WPL). She, at the age of 15, became the youngest cricketer to play in a Women’s Twenty20 International match for India.

Shafali was born on 28 January 2004 in Rohtak, Haryana to Sanjeev Verma and Praveen Bala. She has a sibling, Sahil Verma. Due to the lack of girls’ cricket academies in Rohtak, she initially played as a boy.
Shafali Verma Career
In September 2019, she was selected to India’s Women’s Twenty20 International (WT20I) squad for their series against South Africa. On 24th September 2019, she made her WT20I debut for India at the age of fifteen, against South Africa.
In January 2020, she was selected for India’s squad for the 2020 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in Australia.
In May 2021, she was selected for India’s Test and Women’s One Day International (WODI) squads for their series against the England women’s cricket team. On 16th June 2016, she made her Test debut for India against England. On 27 June 2021, she made her WODI debut for India, against England.
On 27th June 2021, she was signed by Birmingham Phoenix for the first season of The Hundred. Later, she played for Sydney Sixers in the 2021 WBBL.
In July 2022, she was selected for India’s team for the cricket tournament at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, England.
In 2023, she was bought by the Delhi Capitals for Rs 2 crore at the Women’s Premier League Auction.
