At the age of nine, Lambert joined the then Metropolitan Educational Theater network (now MET2). A few years later, while attending Mesa Verde High School and then Mount Carmel High School, he began intensive acting and voice classes and continued to perform with both MET2 and the Broadway Bound Youth Theater Foundation. There he participated in the school jazz band, sang in the school choir and even participated in local air band competitions. In local theaters such as La Stellumo and La Liceo, he appeared in professional productions such as Hello, Dolly! , Camelot, The Music Man, Grease, Chess and Peter Pan.
He continued his studies at California State University, Fullerton after graduating from high school in 2000.
