Noa Kirel is an Israeli singer-songwriter, actress, dancer, and television host. She was the winner of the MTV Europe Music Awards for the best Israeli act between 2017 and 2022. In February 2020, Kirel was drafted into the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and served in a unique military unit. Noa Kirel was born on 10 April 2001 in Ra’anana, Israel to Ilana and Amir Kirel, CEO of Glassco Glass, an imported-glass business headquartered at the Barkan industrial park. Her parents are of Ashkenazi Jewish (Austrian-Jewish) descent and of both Sephardi Jewish and Mizrahi Jewish (Moroccan-Jewish) descent. Kirel has two elder brothers.

His parents named her Noya, but when she was diagnosed with severe kidney disease as a two-month-old baby, the rabbi suggested changing the name to Noh (“Noa” can also mean “movement” in Hebrew). He also jokingly predicted that she might become a dancer.

Kirel appeared in HOT’s documentary series Pushers, which follows parents who push their children to succeed in various fields. The program featured Kirel and her father, who financially supported her entertainment career. Kirel is managed in Israel by Roberto Ben-Shoshan and internationally by Sharona Nomder (Morse Artists). In 2015, she performed her first song titled “Medabrim?” on YouTube. After the success, she released another song called “Killer” in the same year. The provocative video of the story caused confusion due to Kirel’s youth.
