Nancy Shevell is an American Businesswoman and the wife of Paul McCartney, a member of a famous band, Beatles.  In 2001, she was elected as one of the board members of the Metropolitan Transportation Authority of New York, which helped her to achieve recognition at the local, state, and international levels.

Nancy Shevell was born on 20 November 1959 in New York City, New York, United States to Myron P. Shevell, owner of the transportation company named New England Motor Freight, and Arlene Shevell, a housewife. She has two siblings named Susan Shevell and Jon Shevell.

Nancy has a Jewish upbringing. Though she was born in New York, she along with her family moved to Edison, New Jersey where she spent her childhood.

As a child, she used to spend time at her father’s truck terminal due to which she developed an interest in her father’s business. She also used to collect toy trucks which her father used to bring for her.

Nancy began her career in her family business. Nancy’s father founded the company in the 1920s, and later she and her brother created a completely independent company. But after a while, Shevell Brothers was found guilty of fraud and declared bankrupt. Her uncle could not stand stress and committed suicide while her father was strong.

After a while, her father opened New England Motor Freight. It was a subsidiary of the Shevell Group Of Companies. But this too was declared treason and her father was guilty of it.

Nancy later took over the family business in 1983. Additionally, within three years of joining, she became Vice President of the Shevell Group of Companies. In 2001, she was elected as one of the board members of the Metropolitan Transportation Authority of New York, which helped her to achieve recognition at the local, state, and international levels.

In addition, she also worked as the managing manager and managing director of NEMF from 1983 to 1986.

Their son was named after Arlen’s maternal grandmother, Arlene, he was named to pay tribute to her, who tragically died of breast cancer just seven months before his birth. The two decided to part ways as things did not work out properly between them.
