Mae Muller Personal Life
Mae Muller was born on 26 August 1997 in London, England to Matt Muller and Nicola Jackson. Her parents separated when she was six years old. Muller has an elder brother, Sam, and three younger stepbrothers from her parents’ later relationships.
Muller’s grandfather, Robert Muller, was a refugee who fled from Nazi Germany to Great Britain at the age of 12 and settled in Wales; she mentioned her “Jewish roots” and condemned anti-Semitism.
Muller began writing her music at the age of eight. In 2020, Muller criticized former British Prime Minister and Conservative Party leader Boris Johnson. She also criticized the Conservatives’ attempt to end free school meals for poor families.

While working at American Apparel and a bar in Kentish Town, Muller began performing in public. Muller asked a friend who knew how to use logic to do some demos in exchange for a bottle of wine. She uploaded them to SoundCloud in 2017, and after sharing a video of her singing on Instagram, Muller was discovered and signed by her manager.
Her debut single After Hours was released in February 2018 and After Hours was followed by her second EP Sincere in September 2018. Muller signed with Capitol Records that same year. On April 5, 2019, Muller released her debut studio album, Chapter 1. She then supported Little Mix on their 2019 LM5: The Tour. After the tour, she released a single called “Therapist”, which she performed during the tour. Along with the release of Therapist, Muller also announced her first national tour, visiting five cities across the UK.
In September 2020, she announced that her third EP would be released on November 6, 2020. The EP entitled “No One Else, Not Even You” was supported by a UK and European tour. In 2021, Muller appeared as a guest singer on “When You’re Out” with Billen Ted. She then teamed up with Swedish artist group Neiked and American rapper Polo G on the single “Better Days”, which debuted at number 57 on the Billboard Hot 100 on October 30 and later peaked. with number 23. “Better Days” reached the top 10 in the US pop chart and also entered the UK Singles chart, peaking at number 32.
On March 3, 2023, Muller released a collaboration with Sigala, Caity Baser, and Stefflon Don titled “Feels This Good”. On 9 March 2023, she was announced as the UK entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 in Liverpool. Her article “I Wrote a Song” was published the same day, along with a music video. It became the first British Eurovision act in over a decade to debut in the top 40 of the UK Singles Chart.
