Kubbra Sait (born 27 July 1983) is an Indian actress, TV host and model who has appeared in films including Sultan, Ready, and City Of Life. She gained widespread recognition for her performance as Kukoo on the First Season of Netflix original show Sacred Games. She also portrayed the role of Phara Keaen in the Apple TV+ show Foundation.

Kubbra Sait was born on 27 July 1983 in Bangalore to Zakariah Sait and Yasmin Sait. Her younger brother Danish Sait is a radio jockey and television host. In 2005, she moved to Dubai after her graduation from National Institute of Information & Management Sciences, Bangalore. She started hosting shows when she was about thirteen years old. Sait started her career as an accounts’ manager with Microsoft in Dubai before pursuing her career in the entertainment industry.
In 2013, she won the India’s Best Female Emcee Award. She was also crowned Miss India Worldwide Beauty Pageant’s Miss Personality in 2009. In the Netflix series Sacred Games, Sait played a transgender woman named Kukoo. Netflix’s original was nominated in the Best Drama category at the 47th International Emmy Awards. Sait represented Sacred Games in 2018.

Sexually Abused in Teenage
In June 2022, she released her memoir titled Open Book: Not quite a Memoir. In this memoir, the actress talked in detail about being sexually abused by her uncle when she was a teenager. According to the actress, the uncle owned a restaurant in Bengaluru, where Kubbra and her family would often visit. Soon, the uncle became very close to her family, and he started frequently visiting them at their home. He also helped her mother with her ‘financial woes.’ Kubbra wrote in the memoir,
When Mumma sighed at the reprieve that cash provided, I sighed too. Just then, a hand slid to the back seat of the car where I was sitting and slid up my dress. X, who was no longer my uncle, smiled as he rubbed my thigh. I was numb in that moment… He started frequenting our home, and Mumma would laugh with and cook for him. In front of her, he would kiss my cheek and say, ‘Oh my Kubrati, you’re my favourite little one’. Although uncomfortable, I kept quiet.”
While giving further detail about her first sexual assault, the actress wrote in her memoir that her uncle once took her to a hotel, where he sexually assaulted her, She wrote, This was not supposed to happen, but it was happening. I should have screamed, but I could not. I should have run for help, but I was shell-shocked. The kiss grew. He convinced me it was what I wanted, that it would make me feel better. He kept repeating it until I felt deafened, and then he unbuckled his trousers. I was unsure of what exactly was happening, but I remember thinking, I am losing my virginity. It was a big deal, but it was also my shameful secret.

In one of the chapters of her book I Wasn’t Ready to Be a Mother, Kubra Sait told that she became pregnant in 2013 after one-night stand. After that, she had to have an abortion. Kubra was 30 years old at that time. She told that at that time she was on a trip to Andaman. After having a drink, she got intimate with a friend. A few days later, when she did her pregnancy test, it came back positive.
Again made a big decision
Now Kubra Sait while talking during an interview told what he had done after coming to know about his pregnancy. He said, I had decided to have an abortion after a week. I was not ready. I had never imagined my life and my journey like this. I think at that time as a human being I was not ready for it. Furthermore, I don’t think I am still not ready for it.
