Jo Squillo was born on 22 June 1962 in Milan, Italy.
She made her debut as a representative of the Italian punk movement. Her first recording was in 1980 on the Cramps label, for which she released 45 rounds of I’m Bad/Horror as a member of the all-female group Kandeggina Gang. The name was chosen to symbolize the radical purity that the group proposed to do with musical tradition.
