Deuce Vaughn was born on 2 November 2001 in Fayetteville, Arkansas, United States to Marquette Vaughn and Christopher Vaughn. He has two siblings named Cienna and Camryn.
Deuce’s father, Christopher, played college football at Murray State and is a scout for the Dallas Cowboys, having previously served as an assistant coach at Arkansas, Ole Miss, Memphis, and Texas.
Deuce’s mother, Marquette, is a former home health coordinator at HCA Healthcare. Before joining HCA, she worked at Brookdale as its home health coordinator. She was a paraprofessional in the Round Rock Independent School District. She worked there from June 2016 to May 2019. In August 2013, Marquette joined Desoto County Schools as a special education assistant. Additionally, she was a substitute teacher in the Oxford School District from August 2008 to May 2012. There she gained three years of experience.

Vaughn began his freshman season as one of the top defenders for the Kansas State Wildcats and became the team’s starter early in the season. He finished the season with 642 passing yards and seven touchdowns on 123 yards, 25 receptions for 434 yards and two touchdowns and seven punt returns for 145 yards. He was named Big 12 Conference Offensive Freshman and Second Team All-Conference.
