Brooke Shields was born on 31st May 1965 in Manhattan, New York, U.S.to Teri Shields, an actress and model, and Frank Shields, a businessman. Her mother was of English, German, Scotch-Irish, and Welsh descent, whereas her father had English, French, Irish, and Italian ancestry.
When Brooke’s mother Teri was pregnant, Frank’s family paid her a sum to terminate the pregnancy. Teri took the money but violated the agreement and gave birth to Brook. Frank married Teri, but when Brook was five months old, they were divorced.
Brooke has two stepbrothers and three half-sisters- Christina Shields, Olympia Shields, Marina Shields, and Thomas Gore Auchincloss Jr.

She has appeared in many movies like Louis Malle’s Pretty Baby (1978), Wanda Nevada (1979), The Blue Lagoon (1980), Endless Love (1981), The Misadventures of Margaret (1998), and What Makes a Family (2001).
In 1980, she made her tv debut at a very young age by becoming the youngest guest star to ever appear on The Muppet Show. She was also the youngest person to host ABC’s Fridays, Saturday Night Live. In 1993, she made a guest appearance in a Season 4 episode of The Simpsons.
She worked in different shows like Nip/Tuck, Two and a Half Men, Entourage, Hannah Montana, Lipstick Jungle, and Who Do You Think You Are?
In 2006, he wrote Down Came the Rain: My Journey Through Postpartum Depression, and in 2015 she published There Was a Little Girl about the relationship she had with her mother. In 2022, she released a podcast called Now What? focusing on how people respond to adversity.
