Sarah Lucinda Beeny was born on 9 January 1972. She is an English broadcaster and entrepreneur, best known for Property Ladder (2001–2009), Britain’s Best Home (2003), Streets Ahead (2005–2006), Property Snakes and Ladders (2009).

Education
After her mother died of breast cancer aged 39 when Beeny was 10, she attended weekly classes at the all-girls Luckley-Oakfield School in Wokingham. While his friends went to college, Beeny did not; An English teacher encouraged him to study drama, and he took the lead in Brecht’s The Chalk Circle of the Caucasus. Aspiring to become a professional actor, he studied drama at Queen Mary’s College, Basingstoke, but failed to get into drama school.

In 2018, Beeny launched the At Home Podcast with Sarah Beeny, a series where famous personalities give Beeny access to their homes and lives. The series had guests such as Jo Wood, Tim Lovejoy, Lynn Bowles and Pearl Lowe.

V favourite Sarah Beeny is making a return to TV with her new Channel 4 series, Sarah Beeny’s New Life in the Country, this month on April 17.
It follows the broadcaster, her husband, Graham Swift, and their four children as they adapt to a new life in Somerset.
The show was filmed before her recent cancer diagnosis, which she has now got the all-clear for. Sharing a promotional photo from the show, Beeny explained: “New series out on Monday! As you can see, filmed last year – at a time when I took my hair for granted!”
