Luka Doncic is a Slovenian professional basketball player who plays in the National Basketball Association (NBA). He also represents the Slovenian national team.

Luka Doncic was born on 28th February 1999 in Ljubljana, Slovenia to Mirjam Poterbin, an owner of beauty salons, and Saša Dončić, a basketball coach and former player. In 2008, his parents got divorced and his custody was given to his mother.
Luka used to play various sports in his childhood, including football, which he later quit after growing too tall. At the age of 7, he began playing organized basketball at a primary school in Ljubljana.

League Team
On 30th April 2015, he made his professional debut for Real Madrid in the Liga ACB against Unicaj. At the age of 16 years, two months, and two days, he became the youngest player to ever play for Real Madrid in the ACB and the third-youngest debutant in league history. On 10th October 2015, at the age of 16, he debuted in the EuroLeague and became the 21st player ever to debut in the EuroLeague before turning 17.
On 29th June 2018, he parted ways with Real Madrid. On 21st June 2018, he was selected as the third overall pick by the Atlanta Hawks in the 2018 NBA draft and later traded to the Dallas Mavericks in exchange for the draft rights to Trae Young. On 9th July 2018, he signed his rookie contract with the Mavericks. On 17th October 2018, he made his regular-season debut. On 19th November, he scored his first NBA double-double. On 21st January 2019, he recorded his first NBA triple-double. He became the first teenager in NBA history with a 30-point triple-double and multiple triple-doubles.
During the 2019–20 season, he was selected to his first NBA All-Star Game as a Western Conference starter.
On 23rd March 2021, the Real Madrid Football Club named Dončić and Spanish rally driver Carlos Sainz Sr. as honorary members, which is the highest distinction award of the club. On 10th August 2021, he signed a five-year $207 million rookie extension, the largest in NBA history.
