Lisa Gormley was born on 29th September 1984 in Bradford, West Yorkshire, England to Australian parents. At the age of 3, she moved to the Barossa Valley in South Australia with her family and later to a farm in Tasmania at the age of 12.
She spent her childhood as a country girl and spent her formative years on the 50-acre (200,000 m2) property.

During her school days, she used to perform at the annual stage production of A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum. After completing college, she moved to the UK where she became a flight attendant for Qantas.
She joined NIDA after returning to Australia. She was involved in technical production, teaching, directing, and acting.
In 2010, she made her film debut with Before the Rain. In the same year, she was seen in the series Home and Away where she performed the role of Bianca Scott, for four years until 2014 and later returned for the same in 2016.
She was cast in the Odd Man Out at the Ensemble Theatre, from January to March 2017. In 2018, she was seen at the mini-series Bite Club.
She has appeared in many other movies and tv series like In Extremis, The Gloaming, Home and Away: All or Nothing, FREE STARZ: The Gloaming, The Gloaming: Extras, and a few others.
In 2020, she was seen in the tv series The Gloaming and later in Rosehaven in 2021.
