Her father, Amir Amzah Salleh, known by his stage name ND Lala, was a recording artist in the 1980s, while her mother, Fauziah Sarman, pursued a career as an actress. Shila Amzah, the 33-year-old singer, and social media influencer Ubai Mz, aged 25, were united in matrimony at Boathouse Ampang this morning at 10.27 am.
With a single declaration, the nikah ceremony officially marked them as husband and wife, witnessed by the bride’s father, the renowned singer from the 1980s, Datuk ND Lala, and Ustaz Hai Mohamad Khairi Hussein.
As part of the ceremony, Ubai offered a dowry of RM20,000 to Shila, and the details of the hantaran (gift exchange) were kept private.
Shila, whose real name is Nurshahila Amir Hamzah, expressed her gratitude and joy at becoming Ubai’s wife.
