Katie Moon and Nina Kennedy Share Emotional Pole Vault Gold

For Moon, this world gold is the second of her multi-layered track and field, after last year’s victory in Eugene. But such a medal has never been won by a reigning Olympic champion.

After a heated competition that saw the bar rise 5cm higher than last year’s winning height of 4.85, both Moon and Kennedy had to dig as deep as possible for this win.
